this little ramble was inspired by Davemonkey's discussion of action figures.

I have a little collection of action figures (not quite out and proud is it?).  It's not a very 'collector's collection' - I have opened the packaging and played with them, let other people play (even kids), and consequently lost a few accessories and what not.  Most importantly, it makes me smile when I se them.

It is a very exclusive little club of action figures - the uniting factor is that I think the character is a spunk on TV.  _I_ have to think them a spunk, so that leaves lots out (eg, Mal from Firefly, sorry Mal) and it has to be a show that I can watch (even if I choose not to).  That means movie version figures are not allowed, even if it is a spin-off from TV show (eg, X Flies movie). 

Being human or even 3 dimensional is not a criteria (as evidenced by the inclusion of Klingon and Willie from The Simpsons).  I will apologise to anyone that finds that worrying (hi, Felis).

Over the past few years I haven't been watching mych TV with spunks, so the collection has stagnated.  BUT, the latest series of Dr Who will be introducing new blood - #10 makes the cut!

So far, all are male, but that doesn't mean it will always be that way - I just haven't found the right girl :-)

 - Autolycus from Xena (Davemonkey actually started the collection off by giving me this figure of Bruce Campbell)
 - Mulder from X Files (with a little body on a trolley)
 - Oz from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
 - Spike from BTVS
 - Klaang from Star Trek: Enterprise
 - Willie from The Simpsons

really, I'm not obsessed...
